Our Programs

Skills League

Age: Kindergarten- 2nd Grade

Our Skills League is the perfect place for young players to fall in love with the game. Designed for Kindergarten through 2nd grade, this six-week program introduces the fundamentals of basketball in a fun, energetic, and encouraging environment.

Players participate in Saturday morning co-ed sessions where they'll learn the basics of dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, and teamwork through games, drills, and lots of encouragement. The focus isn't on wins and losses—it's on learning, improving, and having fun.

Season: November through December (6 weeks)

Recreation League

Age: 3rd Grade- 6th Grade

Our Recreation League is a great fit for players who are ready to take the next step. As players continue building their basketball skills, they'll also begin learning how those skills come together in real game situations.

Each team practices once a week and plays one game each week throughout the season. Our Rec League is designed to be competitive, instructional, and fun—giving every player the chance to improve while enjoying being part of a team.

Whether your child has played for years or is just getting started, our goal is to help every player leave the season more confident than when they started.

Season Timeline:

  • November: Open Gyms

  • December: Practices Begin

  • January- February: Games

Travel Team Program

Age: 4th- 6th Grade

For players looking for a more competitive experience, our Travel Team Program provides the opportunity to compete against teams from across the Lancaster-Lebanon area through the South Central Youth Basketball League (SCYBL).

Travel teams are selected through tryouts and typically consist of 10–12 players. In addition to league games, teams compete in tournaments throughout the season, giving players valuable experience against strong competition.

Travel basketball requires a greater commitment, and players are expected to attend practices, games, and tournaments throughout the season. In return, players receive additional opportunities to develop their skills, compete at a higher level, and represent the Lampeter-Strasburg community.

Season Timeline:

  • July- September: Open Gyms

  • October: Tryouts and Team Formation

  • October- February: League Play and Tournaments
